This is a quite frankly brilliant emotive vocal house record, I'm unsure as to why it's had absolutely zero exposure. I just think it's a very, very obscure release which passed many people by. It's somewhat akin to a tribal, melodic tranced version of Mory Kante's - 'Yeke Yeke' with much, much better uplifting ethnic (female) vocals. Mind bending underground sounds to drop in an early morning set. Beautiful cover art too.

I played this at a party at 7 a.m. and people flipped out and were ecstatic about it trying to find out what it was and who was behind it as it's so different.. The guy behind it, Bill Laswell (Palm Pictures is his own label) is one of the world's most prolific world music artists (it's his wife on the vocals) and has been working with Brian Eno for many years which gives you an assurance as to the incredible, expansive sounds on this record. Going for buttons for the time being...
