Zulutronic returns with more electro on BACK TO BOMMERSHIME, and while "Kick U Up" starts with a more subdued sound, and the twinkle hip-hop of "It's Like This." The sound here is cleaner and less messy than on their debut, but by the same token, it doesn't have the same 'anything goes' mentality which kept their debut exciting. But luckily, "The Holy Church Of Pharma," with its distorted opening, adds a rock swagger, and "The Strangling Frog From Bommershime" carries that through. The Western edge of "Cowboytronic" brings back the weird in force, and the deepness emerges in "I Feel So Evil." The ghostly soul of "Elektrov***e" and the screechy sample of "I Let U Go (When U Give Me Your Wallet)" bring in some mystery, and "Message from the Leader" ends the album on a progressive metal/easy listening conglomeration. I personally would have liked to have seen more of that sort of genre-melting, but what we have is still quite good.
