This album is mostly looked at as the weakest A-Ha album and in retrospect it is. With the pressures of retaining that earlier fame you have songs like Touchy! And Stay on these Roads. Pressure to write hit songs for America. While those fell flat and remain flat everyone who followed them know what an excellent song Alone is Love is. However for me there are two songs on here that are the reason I keep this disk and go back to it occasionally. Out of Blue Comes Green and the ballad There's Never a Forever Thing. OOBCG is the highlight of the album for me. The instrumental jam sessions parts that nicely bridge the track to some of the most triumphant vocal deliveries in their catalog. And how about the last minute and a half?! It gets funky and beautiful at the same time. The latter song is one of their top 5 ballads they did as a band. While this album is a sore spot for the band don't let these two escape you. You should like them as much as any debut material they did.
