Community Advisory Turntable

The Community Advisory Turntable supports the people who discover, collect, catalog, buy, and sell music through Discogs. The aim of this collaborative group, which is composed of real users and record collectors, is to increase transparency and improve communication about shared goals, challenges, needs, and priorities.

In addition to owning Brittany’s Record Shop in Cleveland, Ohio, Brittany is also a high school teacher, DJ, and producer. She is excited to share her perspective with others regarding a core platform in the physical music community. Serving since 2024.

Curious collector, genre omnivore

As a millennial female collector, Gabriella aims to amplify underrepresented voices. She is excited to be part of the Discogs Community Advisory Turntable because she’s passionate about fostering inclusivity in the record-collecting community. Serving since 2025.

Lifelong music fan, collector

G.I. owns NTX Vinyl record shop and the DFW Legacy Series micro-label in Texas. He believes this group is a great way to learn more about – and shape – the Discogs community and the future of the platform. Serving since 2024.

When he’s not selling on Discogs or playing in a band, Geoffrey is a product manager and runs a record store in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He wants to help drive Discogs from the inside and shape its future. Serving since 2024.

Lisa runs Guestroom Records in Louisville, Kentucky, and loves helping people expand their collections, discover music, and connect with artists – because records aren’t just objects; they are ways to discover parts of ourselves and connect with others. Serving since 2025.

Louis collects records, DJs, runs Rook Records in London, sells wholesale, and consults for a variety of sellers and stores globally. He is interested in helping support the community interests and furthering the cultural impact that Discogs has on the record-collecting community. Serving since 2024.

Max manages a boutique public relations and communications firm in New York City. He hopes to ensure every Discogs member feels that they have a committed advocate on the Community Advisory Turntable. Serving since 2024.

William is the owner and operator of Vinyl Veritas, an independent vinyl shop and lifestyle company. He is enthusiastic about this opportunity to help shape the way we organize and think about physical music. Serving since 2024.

Rick is the independent facilitator for this unique group of Discogs users and executives. He is a veteran music industry executive who currently serves as the chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominating committee.

Contributing Community

Discogs’ Discography is a centralized database that documents recorded releases through community collaboration, preserving the interconnected fabric of music history. Comprised of dedicated archivists, the additional discography-focused Community Advisory Turntable will align around policy and best practices around for our database and contribution tools.
