Apple Music Streaming Now Available in the Discogs Database

Discogs added Apple Music streaming to make it easier for you to listen to songs as you discover new music.

Look for the Apple Music player under the Audio section of Master Release pages in the Discogs Database. Preview each song for up to 30 seconds to get a taste of the music as you learn more about the artist, purchase a new record for your collection, or continue exploring Discogs.

Apple Music subscribers can listen to entire albums as long as you’re logged in to your Discogs and Apple Music accounts on the same device. For example, if you are using an internet browser like Google Chrome on your desktop, you’ll want to sign in to Discogs and Apple Music to get the full experience.

Apple Music will not replace the YouTube streaming options, which can be found under the Video section of Master Release pages. Contributors to the Discogs Database can add YouTube videos, but the Apple Music connection is automatic.

What are Master Release pages? Master Release refers to the music recording, not how the music was released. For example, the Master Release page for The Beatles’ Abbey Road represents the album, while the individual Release pages represent the different versions released over the years.
