Leif Wennerström

Swedish jazz drummer, born in December, 24, 1937. He is a drummer of modern jazz.

He has been a member of the Bernt Rosengren Quartet since 1963, which toured Scandinavia and Eastern Europe and also performed at the Jazz Jamboree. Since 1967 it has also performed with Don Cherry and then with Mongezi Feza and also recorded albums with them. Furthermore, he accompanied traveling American musicians such as 1965 Ben Webster or Benny Bailey in 1976. In the 1980s he also worked with Bertil Lövgren and Krister Andersson and then belonged to the Per Henrik Wallin Trio. It was not until 1995 that he presented an album as a leader. Wennerström contributed to 81 jazz recordings between 1960 and 2001.
