These two guys understand the meaning of quality not quantity! My ears were brought to the attention of Yimino when I read a review by Godfathers of electronica Plaid tipping the duo being "ones to watch", Such high praise indeed by Mr Handley & Mr Turner. So I managed to get my hands on " The Evolution of Bulbuss.. " and " Autonoe Vora" and was blown away how good they were. For a long long time there seemed to be a lack of warmth in electronic music but my faith was restored when listening to these 2 CDs. I found out that they were playing at Ginglik in Shepherds Bush and just had to go, none of my mates could make it so I travelled down on my own from Northampton. When I got there i was surprised to see only a few people, I think about ten to fifteen body's and two of them were Gerald & Henry. I have to say it was pretty special hearing these lads live on a pretty decent system. For me it was a special night indeed and a memory I will treasure. After this I became a big fan of their work and have purchased and spread the word of Yimino ever since. If you are unsure where to start then delve straight in to "Breaker".... Super slick production that any fans of early Black Dog, Boards of Canada and the Artifical intelligence series will more than enjoy.
