The Cuates Castilla (cuates=twins) were born on September 2, 1912, in Veracruz, Mexico. Miguel "Cuate" Castilla passed away in Mexico City, Federal District, on June 21, 1979. José "Cuate" Castilla passed away in Mexico City, Federal District, on September 13, 1994. Have composed about one thousand songs of all styles.
