Wolfsheim

Profile:
German synthpop / darkwave band formed in 1987 in Hamburg.

In January 2009 Heppner and Reinhardt split up due to personal differences caused by the solo activities of Heppner. Both fought in court without success to get the right to continue the project Wolfsheim.

Unfortunately they couldn't come to a peaceful solution to their break up. Would be nice to have some vinyl issues.

Not sure about "pop," but the old Wolfsheim was more moody gothic synth than straight electronic. Recently they've gone more towards electronics. Their latest album (Casting Shadows) and following tour had a lot more electronics, and not just synth. Compair this album with any of the past, and you'll get a feel for their new sound. I for one liked the old synths over the new sound, perhaps because they aren't as mournful as before.
