Sundog (2)

Real Name:
Huw Bowen, Sean Ryerson & Marissa Knight
Sundog is an extraterrestrial plasma being, over a million years old, who wishes to share the transmissions it has received in its long perambulation around our galaxy. In order to format its sonic messages for human nervous systems, it has telepathically interconnected itself with three humans, Bowen, Roswell and Knight.

Huw Bowen was the first human to be recruited by Sundog, shortly after he moved from the UK to the USA. In the first half of 1997, he was assailed by a barrage of psychic force, which caused the release of the first Sundog work, No Fear of Flying, as the opening piece on the MELT compilation.

Following this initial success, Sean Roswell was shanghaied into the collective and the 12" vinyl Emerge from the Darkness / Sunjammer was released. Roswell was specially selected from the cream of Denver's beat gene pool to perfectly complement Bowen's technological trickery.

The final member of the collective, Marissa Knight, was instrumental in rescuing Bowen and Roswell from assassins from Zeta Reticuli. Her lyrical and turntablistic powers made her a natural third member. Knight is featured on the upcoming Sundog release, Firing Photons.

Sundog's human agents are currently located in Denver, Colorado, in order to take full advantage of that state's burgeoning aerospace industry. [Terraform, 2002]

These guys had another 12", if I recall, which they gave me in Denver in 1998. I remember it was pretty wildly creative experimental d&b, had a remix or heavy sampling of Johnny Cash on there. (Maybe it was "Emerge from the Darkness / Sunjammer" as mentioned in the bio.) Anyone have it? Would love to hear it again.
