saw kenny in about 1997 at rico's club in wolverhampton, just after the 'space' mix cd was released,i remember shaking kenny's hand and watching him in the mix,a quality night and a really friendly down to earth man,it was a real shock to hear of his death r.i.p kenny
I have only just heard about Kenny's passing, very sad news. I saw him downstairs at back2basics in Leeds in about 1995 and part way through his set only one of the decks was working, the other one was slowly down and speeding up for no aparant reason. He was a bit hacked off by it but just got on with the job in hand and played aeroplane noises (from his Jetsex EP) between each proper tune and the whole floor got behind him and cheered him on. Myself and my friend were excitable, over-enthusiastic, starry-eyed 17 years olds and just starting to buy records, learning to DJ and go clubbing. So a proper House DJ in a club talking to us was a big thing. He was very kind and generous with his time inbetween records. We bought him a drink to cheer him up and he was over the moon. I for one will remember his influence on the scene and continue to play his tunes, remixes and listen to his mixes. R.I.P. indeed from James Collingburn
