Such a great artist, her albums are all worthy and very good, if you like the true sound of Detroit techno. "Ready for Darkness" and "Soul" are my picks. RIP Queen of Techno!

Still on a journey, but now on a new part of it. Go ahead and do it like you did. We still have you in mind, while spinning your records.

Ron Trent: “ I first went to record in Detroit somewhere around 92’. My business partner Chez and I would began on what became a journey into experimenting with sound, many talks of historical factors, and hosting conversations with a close circle of old and new friends for me. Kelli was a part of our intimate core of people that would come by and hang with us in KMS studio from the very beginning. Chez and Kelli had a long standing relationship way before she hung with us. I hit if off with her from the start. She was witty, really down to earth, and mercurial like Chez and I which made for great discourse and plenty of laughter. One thing I remembered is that she was on this TV show “The Scene” apparently back in the day, a Detroit program that was similar to Soul Train. She had some footage and we got a kick out of checking it out. She struck me as having many dynamics and experiences which lead her to be where she was in her life. She had a good knowledge of music and earlier club days. Her and Chez had both been to Paradise Garage. Later on in our careers we would cross paths and though we did not have those private hangs like we use to the feeling was still the same. A very warm and genuine spirit. I wish my Sister light on her journey back home. I must say this did not settle well with me. Bless her road and achievements. The first female Techno DJ in the world. Ase’”
Cornelius Harris, UR: “ I just don't have words.
She lived below me when I first moved to Detroit. The walls and floors were thin and she said, "I do parties and you're invited. It's not like you aren't going to be in it anyway!" And let me tell you, she had some GREAT parties. But seriously...
She welcomed me and I'll forever appreciate it. Thank you Kelli.”
Stingray: “ K.Hand was producing ,djing in Detroit and the world, and running a label at a time when there were very few women in the landscape of USA electronic music that did it all . R.I.H. to a well respected legend. Check out her body of work when you can.”
MM Underground Resistance: “ Rest in Heavenly Peace to Kelli Hand (Detroit) and Paul Johnson (Chicago). They are heroes, survivors and electronic music pioneers. We are heart broken but celebrate their achievements and legacies as visionaries who continued to create, produce and persevere through out their lives!”
Claude Young: “ RIP to my sister K-HAND THE FIRST LADY OF DETROIT TECHNO.
Thank you for taking a chance on me back in the day. It was an honor to work with you. I'm going to miss you deeply.” 🙏
