Ανδρέας Ροδουσάκης

Profile:

Andreas Rodoussakis was a Greek double bass, bass & electric bass player. Born in 1932 in Athens, Greece - Died 28 December 2022 in Athens, Greece
In the mid-1950s, he joined Το Κουαρτέττο Του Μίμη Πλέσσα. In December 1957, he became a member of the Ορχήστρα Εθνικής Λυρικής Σκηνής, where he remained through to 1990. In 1958, he was invited by the Athens State Orchestra as an honorary member, becoming a permanent member in April 1959 after auditioning; he left the orchestra in 1988. He collaborated with the most important Greek composers, such as Manos Hadjidakis (mostly), Mikis Theodorakis, Διονύσης Σαββόπουλος, et al. He was a member of the board of directors of the Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή.
