Did anyone PU the Spotify signed LP of the upcoming release? 500 copies available. I grabbed it thinking it was a good deal but the shipping was pricey. Looking forward to it.

I've been a fan since 2011 and the first time I saw them live was 2012. Most of their albums have a couple tracks I love but I think the latest release, The Far Field, might be the most consistent.

The thing that struck me about this band is the amazing cover, for what happens to be their fourth album - "Singles". Sadly, it stayed at just that. Up until "Singles" I didn´t know much about the group - considering the sudden mass-hysteria at the time of the release of "Singles", I dare believe many didn´t either.
Regarding their music and performance, Future Islands do possess the charm, and hordes of their fans can´t be wrong at that - however, it is the hype of the "next best thing" that continues to eat them alive. Adding to it Samuel T. Herring´s (definitely unique, but just as unbearable) over-the-top-larger-than-life-hyper-emotional growl and stage antics, the end result is this utterly exaggerated leviathan exhausting plankton in today´s endless sea of overrated indie.
