Profile:

Formed in the mid-1970s by high-school chums Steve Gore & Steve Kretzmer, the Rascal Reporters have been recording and releasing music for over 40 years. From their basement studio in Detroit, this duo delighted in confusing audiences & smudging the lines between genres over the course 7 studio albums, until Steve Gore's passing in March of 2009 (RIP).

The group was revived in 2017, and now consists of Steve Kretzmer & new recruit James Strain. New music & new archival releases abound, with the duo's first new release Redux, Vol. 1 released in early 2019, with remasters and reissues released throughout the rest of the year. A new studio album, The Strainge Case of Steve, is currently in the works and expected for 2020.
