Transwave, l'un des meilleurs groupes de goa trance des années 90.Du plus parfait cool au beat le plus délirant, un groupe tri-dimensionnel de réference !!

Transwave are a legend and a colossus of a Goa Trance band. Their sound epitomized the peak of the Goa scene in the 90's. Colorful, hypnotic, trippy and yet melodic. Transwave will be remembered by most serious fans of Goa Trance for the innovation and emotion they brought to their music. They stopped releasing any new material since 1999. In the new millennium with both members getting busy with individual efforts it is interesting to see what direction Transwave might take, which seems unknown with only the release of a best-of compilation, Backfire, in 2007.

One of the best goa/psy-trance producers I've ever had the fortune to listen to. Transwave uses a lot of TB-303 work in his productions, and entrancing lines and melodies... one of the true masters of the genre.

January 16, 2021In 1997 (or 1996) Christof and Frederic went their own ways. Frederic started the project Deedrah and Christof became Absolum. Deedrah's debut has stylistically a wide array of tracks, some better some a bit weaker. It's not a coherent album if you ask me, but rather feels like an attempt to distance yourself from the classic Transwave sound. Absolum's early stuff, let's keep the discussion to the tracks released in the 90s, is pretty good in fact. He had more pounding, less melodic direction and succeeded quite well indeed. Had he only released an album by the end of the millennium we would've had an interesting darker old school album in our hands.
