January 25, 2014Because of the huge success of the tracks it is a bit hard to say yes to this sometimes simple melodies if on the other side you love real underground techno so much. But some reviewer closed his review somewhere here on Discogs with the words: "Once we were family". And that's the point: Anyway, underground or commercial orientated: If the track goes into your ear and to your heart, gives you the power to dance or to lay your feelings into the hook: its just the aim of music.
Why having problems with this? You can combinate commercial with underground, who the fuck will forbid?
Don't compare this stuff of the early ninties with tracks produced nowadays: Hooligan aka Frank Tomiczek loved to compose simple but effective loud rave tracks in this golden years. I am sure, if he wanted to make other sound he would had done a good job too.
Viva la Ruhrpott! Thank you, Frank...
