The Babylon Dance Band

Profile:

Stalwart Louisville, Kentucky punk band, featured on the cover of the Village Voice in December 1980. They self-released one 7" in 1981. Tara Key and Tim Harris eventually moved to New York City and co-founded Antietam, and Sean Mulhall joined Malignant Growth, who soon changed their name to Fading Out. Chip Nold was later the singer for The Bulls. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, The Babylon Dance Band played a string of reunion shows usually on Kentucky Derby Day. A second 7" came out in 1990, and around 1994 they recorded a full-length album for Matador.
