They sound really good, i'll agree. But when you take a closer look, you see that most of their stuff is just sampled black music. Robot Rock "contains a sample"? The song IS the sample! How can they put their own names under it?!

Homework is the best you'll get out of this music. Everything else just slowly declines to some really bad stuff.

Daft Punk is dead. Has been, for a long time now. Complete sellouts. If you watch their documentary Daft Punk Unchained, at first they claim Daft Punk never cared about success or money (the 90s), but later on the video they tell the story how Coachella festival tried to get them for years, they turned down $250k offer in 2005 and finally agreed to perform for $300k in Coachella 2006...

Fast forward Daft Punk 10 years later in 2016: When you think they can't go any cheesier with those pop/hip-hop rapper collabs, they do it again. But this time even better, did they really need the Daft Punk 'productions' to make that new Weeknd song? A song that literally has no value and is a complete trash, because it's some fukboi rapping about his luxury and how many cars he owns and using deep and meaningful words in the lyrics like 'n*gga' at least three times and somehow manage to include Star Trek and Brad Pitt in it, it's like they co-wrote those lyrics with H.P Baxxter from Scooter. And somehow and somewhat for some reason... Daft Punk is behind this circlejerk? What's next? Maybe collab with Bieber because he needs polished top notch electronics in his valuable music.

Can't wait for Alive 2017 with bunch of nice collabs with thug rappers and other assclowns /s

Thank you Daft Punk, for building your legacy, for 20 years of amazing electronic music... But you had to kill it? Because $70 million net worth is not enough?

† Daft Punk 1993-2013

edit: Wow, I did trigger lots of fanboys, it's like almost my opinion vs yours... Shame on me that I love only their older stuff and expressed my opinion.

To think they've only actually released 3 actual albums is pretty amazing. I have to pull a 'hipster' and happily state that I was into them way back when the track 'Musique' was just gaining popularity. Then the Da Funk video got released and everything blew up from there on.

They're definitely talented guys and even if some of their tracks reek of cheesiness, they have a free pass :-D

Daft Punk just became to one of my favourite bands as well! I remember the time - when I was under 10 Years old, or even 2 or 3 when "Around the World" was a new tune on TV. Then the time when I was about 6 or 7 years old - one more time was it again, the mainstream sound.. At this point I really liked it, but I never knew who was it! A friend of mine came up with Around the World again, just more than a year ago which was the new beginning for me! I bought "Homework" (and even "Alive 2007") then, which have been my first albums.
Then I just noticed that this sound marks an era for me. The Album "Homework" is just like a "noone could reach it"-album. It means not only listening to Da Funk or Around the World, it´s a great mixture on it. Even "Rollin'& Scrachtin'" became to one of my favourites. Allover one of the greatest things in my ears!
Then - Discovery... Much more the Mainstream sound, but still kept on the same exceptional Daft-Punk level which marks their era egain! This Album always brings back memories.
The Album "Human after All" is an exception for itself. The funny thing about it is, that this is an album where the name "daft punk" is to be taken a bit more literally :D ! Indeed, it does not really fit in the songs they made before, but now it´s "daft" Punk!
And NOW - the Tron Legacy Soundtrack. Something which is not a real exception for me. Ok, not really filled with electronic sound. But listen to the Tron-Soundtrack, and even to the orchestrated things - and then Listen to the "Irréversible"-Soundtrack by Thomas Bangalter... You will see that there are differences. But not so many which keeps it to a part of the whole Daft Punk Thing.
Daft Punk, and even the Sound of Thomas Bangalter became a part of my life! And this exceptional sound is something that we should never forget! (and we won´t!)

What can I say about Daft Punk? They are one of the greatest and most influential people in the world of Electronic Music. They were one of the groups that brought the French House sound to the mainstream audience without commercialising it, they were one of the first groups to use autotune before it became an overused fad and despite (until recently with the soundtrack to the next Tron Movie) haven't released a major tune since 2005 have still managed to be as popular as ever.

Without Daft Punk, we would not have the dance music of today and has influenced many artists - even Kanye West, who had a #1 hit sampling their tune, 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger'!

Daft Punk - you guys rock!
