Kim Ki O

Girl-Band from Istanbul, Turkey, startet in summer of 2006. Their minimal dark-wave sound is based on playing every instrument live. They structure their songs with the hazy vocals, usually sung in Turkish on top of the monotonous beats they get out of a hip-hop style drum machine. They also use a cassette player occasionally to get the pre-recorded samples on tapes.

Kim Ki O means "who is that anyway?" in Turkish.
