Cliff Hargrove

Austin, Texas bassist and engineer
Hargrove grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, where he learned the saxophone. He moved to Austin, Texas after high school, switching to bass guitar and joining the band Zydeco Ranch as well as backing musicians such as Ponty Bone and RC Banks. After graduation from University Of Texas in August 1980, Hargrove began work as a live music engineer for Austin radio station KUTX 98.9. Hargrove retired from the station in spring 2020.
