American preacher and Gospel music singer born in 1884, died 1945. He was the pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Rockdale Park, Atlanta from 1914 until his death. During this time he recorded over 200 sides between 1926 and 1941, most of them recorded by himself.
