Hands down my favorite artist of all time. Why? Easy. Extremely catchy rhythms and hooks surrounded by very unique and dark experimental soundscapes. EBM, Dark Electro, Goa, Orchestral, Metal you name it. Jan uses whatever strikes him fancy and makes no promises. No one else I know is able to create such a dark and demonish soundscape which at the same time sounds very catchy. While one track could easily be played in clubs, the next suddenly is full orchestral. And don't forget the high quality samples Jan is known for from his Noisuf-X project. All his tracks are usually about the dark side of humanity and its problems. Mostly in English but some are in German too. Good for me since I understand both languages.

I personally think he has a very own and unique sound. The closest similar you might find is the earlier stuff of Hocico. However, this only goes for his early material. With Rotten To The Core he made some sound adjustments and tried to further develope his sound into something else, mainly adding more goa and guitars.

There is not a single release that I would consider bad. Of course everybody has his preferences and I think I like his more modern stuff since 2006 more, especially tracks filled with adrenaline and heavy guitars in the background. But don't let me fool you, I still listen to the early stuff very often. Especially the demos. Sadly getting your hands on those is a pain in the ass. Some tracks have been re-released here and there (mainly on the limited edition of Demons Of Hate) but many other tracks still miss. I often wish that Jan would make a full fledged early material release including both his demos and unreleased other early tracks. I bet there would be quite some gems between those. I know what I am talking about since I know tracks like Satans Macht or Das Gelöbnis. Since we are actually not getting anything new anyway, why not a remastered early material collectors release?

Yes, you read correct. We are not getting anything new right now. Why is that? Well, I don't know the exact reasons but Jan often mentioned that he doesn't make a win from X-Fusion material since the production costs are very high, which I totally believe considering its a studio only project. Also he can't really perform those tracks live since they are quite complex which again is a downsite for earning money. People buy less and less music which is a shame but it hurts projects like X-Fusion hard. He obviously doesn't have such problems with Noisuf-X or Stoppenberg because the production costs are lower and he performs often live. For a person that lives from creating music it is really a shitty situation. And for the fans of X-Fusion it is too. I personally hope that this doesn't mean an end for X-Fusion. It would be a huge loss for the music world and also for me since I really hold this music kind to me. This music brought me through many difficult times in my life. I have ALL of his releases in physical form, even in multiple variants. More than worth my money. Sadly I am one of the very few left that properly buy music.

That is why this artist is simple my absolute favorite. I have many more but he really manages to stand out. Absolutely a must listen.
