Singer born in 1953 (CE), died 11th June 2005 (CE) at the Kingston Public Hospital, Jamaica from a stroke.

Jennifer Lara, cousin of The Tamlins member Derrick Lara, was first taken into the recording studio in 1969 by keyboardist Richard Ace, a Studio One session musician there.
She added backing vocals to the songs of some of Studio One's biggest names, including Delroy Wilson, Freddie McGregor, Dennis Brown and Sugar Minott. Her first own record was released during the 1970s.
