ON FIRE is the direct result of the demise of interpersonal relationships of two strong Boston bands. In the spring/summer of 2003 The Burning Paris hit a creative lull while beginning to write for their new record. The typical disputes between band members lead to an amicable split between essentially the color of the band and the rhythm of the band. Nate Shumaker (Vox/Guitar), Josh Megyesy (guitar), and Jen Townsend (cello) decided to forge ahead under a different moniker with a new rhythm section.
Enter Tom Korkidis (bass/keys) and Mike Ushinski (drums), who at the same time were finding themselves in a bind as their band Placer (2) moved from Boston to New York. Over the summer months the five musicians began collectively composing songs, all of which make up the new LP "This Time it is Forever" (Magic Bullet Records)..
