Based in Minneapolis, formed by Prince, utilizing former members of The Time without founding members Morris Day and Jesse Johnson, both of whom had formed solo careers at that time, and adding Susannah Melvoin, twin sister to Prince And The Revolution guitarist Wendy Melvoin. The group released the now classic "Nothing Compares 2 U" in 1985, which became a smash hit when covered by Sinéad O'Connor in 1990. Now known as fDeluxe.
