Charles Mills

A contemporary classical composer, who played in jazz bands at an early age and adapted two of his symphonic works - based on the band "Crazy Horse" and jazzman "Charlie Parker" - for Yusef Lateef on the album "The Centaur and the Phoenix".

Mills' works include "Piano Concerto; "Flute Concerto"; "Theme And Variations For Orchestra"; "Oboe Concertino" and chamber pieces, some involving jazz groups.

His works have been performed by the likes of The Cleveland Symphony Orchestra and the Spartanburg Symphony Orchestra.
