Raised in New England, TJ Norris is an award-winning multidisciplinary conceptual artist, freelance curator and writer based in Dallas, TX. He studied at Boston's Massachusetts College of Art and the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. His work was featured in the Tacoma Art Museum’s 10th Northwest Biennial, CoCA Seattle, and in the Oregon Center on Photographic Art’s Viewing Drawers. Norris’ work explores the psycho-social complexities of the urban and built environment. Examples of his work are held in various international private collections, as well as the Vanhaerents Art Collection, Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Fuller Museum of Art, Harvard University, the Museum de la Cuidad, Nike and the RACC’s Visual Chronicle Collection. Norris' first monograph of photographic work, the critically well received 'Shooting Blanks' (2008-2013) was released in 2018.
