TeHÔM (official capitalization) is dark ambient/ritual ambient/industrial/experimental music project from Zagreb, Croatia.
Originally started in 1987 when the 4-man metal band Ivor The Lord changed its name to Ivor Lord and continued as a duo of two original band's members Siniša Očuršćak and Goran Terihaj. Music style was also changed from metal to ambient/industrial.
From period between 1988 and 1989 the first demo was recorded, that supposed to be released on FV record company, but was ultimately released on a DIY cassette titled "Gospod Je Lice Naše".
In 1991 project again changed its name to TeHÔM.
Goran Terihaj left the project in 1993, and since that time TeHÔM became a solo project of Siniša Očuršćak until he died in 1997 after completing the second album "Theriomorphic Spirits" (released only in 2000) with some help of Miljenko Rajaković (while not being official member - in his own words: "On this album I have helped little bit with some sounds and other small things for that album.").
In 2010 Miljenko Rajaković reactivated TeHÔM as his solo project in the memory of Siniša (as well as their duo project Principia Audiomatica).

March 12, 2004Despite the time it was made, the authors played very well with the synths, creating very gentle progression of dark ritualism, revealing an atmosphere of secrets and omnipotense as well as mysteries hidden behind the veils. Following the line of the concept, the entire work links the esotheric with the Jüngian principle of the individual fragmentation as product of his reason and the subsequent consequence that this aspect has inprinted into modern reality, that is as the title of the album suggest the "Despiritualization from nature", the division of the self from the outside world and the beginning of his own dissolution as result of this distancing process. Via Dark Ambient in the vein of Endvra, Exotoendo or early Arcana the listener gets exposed to an apocalyptical maremagnum of dialectics and opposites that create the very core of reality, very interesting to say the least.
As a side note the project was originally patronaged by Douglas Pearce of DIJ and he released with some of their friends the first album, despiritualisation of nature. after it only tehom remained. he realeased theriomorphic spirits and then died due to war related illness. his musical exploration its pretty ritualistic and esoteric and its pretty original, he promised a lot but unfortunately he died.
