Profile:	Spanish composer and conductor (1870-1938). Conductor of Teatro Real de Madrid and Teatro de la Zarzuela. Founder with other composers (Ruperto Chapí, Sinesio Delgado, Carlos Arniches, Salvador Videgain Gómez) in 1899 of rights society Sociedad de Autores Españoles (SAE) that later became Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE), the main rights society in Spain.
