DJ Hvad

DJ Hvad, later stylized as HVAD, is a primary artistic alias of the Danish experimental musician, producer, and sound engineer Hari Shankar Kishore (b. 1985) from Copenhagen, Denmark. The name Hvad (meaning "What" in Danish) first appeared in 2008 as the debut album's title by Albertslund Terror Korps breakcore duo formed by Kishore with Halfdan "Cancer" Pisket. In 2009, Kishore adopted "Hvad" as a solo DJ moniker and released a limited edition Hvad Raga 1 locked groove EP, followed by a self-titled DJ Hvad LP album on his label Syg Nok.

Since 2022, after launching a new label, ULLLU, Hvad has presented three new original albums, including his collaboration with Egyptian vocalist and musician Abdullah Miniawy and a 24-hour recording of the January 2024 live performance at Cisternerne underground water reservoir.
