Confessor (2)

Possibly New Zealand's first traditional Heavy Metal band, originally known as Bad Blood, they formed in the late stages of 1982 in Henderson (West Auckland,NZ) and started writing their own material. Inspired by the NWOBHM bands, they set their sights on establishing the First wave of New Zealand Heavy Metal. After several line-up changes, and playing numerous local gigs, they changed their name to Confessor in 1985 and recorded their first EP, "First Sin" considered to be the first recording of its type in New Zealand. They recorded two Cassette Albums - "Metal Beyond Madness" (1988) and "Possessed to Play" (1990) and a live recording (1991) before calling it quits in 1993. They were signed to Jayrem Records,NZ.

Other notable distinctions: Opening for legendary Shock-Rock outfit TWISTED SISTER in 1985 and for premier Speed-Titans MEGADETH in 1990, both shows performed at the Logan Campbell Center, Auckland (NZ).
