Ghjuvan Paulu Poletti (in French: Jean-Paul Poletti) is a Corsican polyphonist musician born in Ajaccio on May 28, 1949. Author-compositeur-performer, researcher, choirmaster, he practices traditional Corsican polyphony, Franciscan polyphony, the sacred repertoire. He studied ethnomusicology with Vincent Orsini and perfected himself at the Scholi Cantarum in Florence and Siena. In 1973 he founded with Petru Guelfucci the choral group Canta U Populu Corsu, which he directed until he left the group in 1981. He contributed to the revitalization of polyphonic singing in Sartène, where he founded a Singing School in 1987, and in 1995 the group Men's Choir of Sardinia.
