No one comes close to Bernard Herrmann's scores and soundtrack music, he was the best composer to ever have worked in film and television.
The atmospheres he created were nothing short of incredible ranging from heartbreakingly beautiful to absolutely terrifying!
The whole range of human emotion seems to be within this mans music.
The more I listen to his work the more I am convinced that he was one of the 20th century's greatest composers.
