Having spent years doing the rounds on Y2Kfm, formerly Mission Fm and playing in various venues; Mass, Bagley’s, Stratford Rex, Camden Palace and more recently Plastic People they have now developed their skills to produce their own sound.
Spending time in the studio has enabled them to learn and develop the skills needed to produce tracks as a collective and individually – you only have to listen to Q- Gritty’s “Step of”, Vicious + DJ Bandit’s “Strange Tension” & Dangerous’s “Murda” to get a taste of what they are capable off.
Now residents at the monthly Forward night at Plastic People, they have found a home to bring their SLT sound to. A guaranteed show-stopper, rolling dub after dub and never afraid to re-load, they are pure entertainment. You can feel their enthusiasm bouncing of the walls.
Always ahead of their time musically not everyone has always appreciated the sound they were pushing but that didn’t stop Slaughter and after years of perseverance, it seems they are finally getting the recognition they deserve, especially when EL-B (the godfather of dubstep) gave them props on JaDa Flex’s show.
