Robbie Williams

Real Name:
Robert Peter Williams
Profile:
First known as one of the members of British boy band Take That, he was the first to leave, and after battling addiction problems, went on to have a successful solo career.
On 15 July 2010 it was announced that Williams would rejoin Take That. This followed the fact that the band's career after 2006 had been more successful again than William's recent solo efforts. In 2014 he left Take That for a second time.

Husband of Ayda Field.

He is also known to have signed one of the biggest record contracts in 2002 with EMI for £80million. It was the last before the age of (illegal) digital downloading became apparent.

Born 13 February 1974 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK.

I don't know which rock you have been hiding under, Mr. Pistachios. An artist with 7 UK number 1 singles, 12 UK number 1 albums, a sale of 75 million records, 18 Brit Awards and a member of the UK Music Hall of Fame (to name a few of his achievements), and you claim he cannot sell "this junk"?? You are certainly missing something that the rest of the world understands. Robbie Williams is the Dean Martin of our time. An artist who is very much aware of his own artistic and personal limitations (and not afraid to admit it), but presenting his product in the most charming and entertaining way, with a wink rather than a high brow. Some artists make "art" for the so-called music experts, and some choose to entertain the masses. I, for one, prefer the latter.

So Pistachios I have to disagree with you on these child like assertions you've been making. HOW DARE YOU insult one of the finest performers the world has ever seen. He was known and loved for his fast-paced, improvisational performance style and for his extraordinary performances in films like Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets Society.

I can understand why teenage girls got drawn into the boyband phenomenon. It was all about the image cleverly presented through the media. But now you're all grown up, who is buying this junk? If you do insist on listening to this, head to your local charity shop or car boot sale. You'll find piles of his music stacked up because you can't even give it away. Sorry ladies.
