The first lineup was signed to the independent label Matina and had ジュイ on vocals, ユキネ and アヤノ on guitar and テロ on drums.
In March 2003 Vidoll switched to Under Code Production (as Matina had closed down in December 2002) and had their first national tour. On August 30 2003 アヤノ left the band due to unspecified personal reasons and was replaced by ヒデ the following week.
After several succesful tour and releases, it was announced that both ヒデ and ユキネ would leave Vidoll after two memorial concerts on June 25th and June 26th 2005 at OSAKA MUSE. Replacement was found in シュン and ギル the following month.
In February 2007 Vidoll signed a deal with Sword Records and in late March had their fist overseas gig at the J-Rock Revolution festival in Los Angeles.
Due to the success of the works released with Sword Records, Vidoll went major in early 2009 with Nippon Crown.
However, some time after the major debut ジュイ started having health problems due to a blood clot and Vidoll eventually went on hiatus since September 18th 2010 so that he could have surgery and rehabilitation.
In late January 2011 it was announced that Vidoll's plans to come back were cancelled and that they would disband after a farewell gig on May 7th.
