Apart from Geoff Tate the most clever and multitalanted american singer ever, with quotes in millions just like Gene Simmons, DLR before "new VH" from 5150 and forward anyday but every member of the original lineup is a top 10 artist in his craft

Just like with KISS the reunion took a bit too long but better late than never, music with class is better than mediocre toplist chants in the 90s, then I prefered the albums with DLR/Steve Vai; VH with DLR is one of the most influential bands on earth (the first time produced by Gene Simmons, he got some VH demos to be released in the future)

I admit that I never liked "Diamond Dave", because to me he was a prototypical rock star - careless and not very bright. But I listen to his radio show sometimes and he seems to be much better than horrible Howard Stern (although Dave said on occasion that Stern is his hero). Maybe it have something to do with age and the loss of hair, maybe there's another reason - but i can see the real him in that show, as opposed to Dave that was putting on rock star mask onstage during his stint with Van Halen (as in "How can you fire Van Halen from Van Halen?").
