Growing Seeds was a short-lived psych band from Bayreuth, Germany founded around the couple Andi Heinrich and Silk Heinrich (guitar, synth, vocals). They produced one critically acclaimed album called 'Miraculous Journey' in 1997. During a short episode in summer 1998 Dave Schmidt (3) aka Sula Bassana adopted the drumming chair. Growing Seeds soon broke up though where Andi, Silk and Dave continued with the studio project Weltraumstaunen. In 1999 Pleitegeier Records finally released an EP consisting of one studio and two live tracks.

Fronted by one "Silk" - a female singer (a dedicated Bevis Frond fan), this young Berlin band were later joined by Dave "Sula Basanna" Schmidt and seemed to transform into Weltraumstaunen. Their MIRACULOUS JOURNEY (Pleitegeier-Records) has a very Hawkwind (1990 era) style with both psych and new-wave influences, not bad, if bordering indie-pop territory a little too much for my taste.
