Hi, Gus McFarlane here of 'The Drive'. Those interested in collecting rare, original, limited pressings of punk records might be interested in some line-up info that's missing. The line-up to record 'Jerkin'' was Ronnie Neish and Bobby Phillips on guitars, Bruce Money on bass and Ronnie Jack on drums. Myself on vocals.
The line up changed after 'The Sunday Mail' ran a scandalous article about the single with the headline, "Banned Punks Cut Own Sex Single." A couple of guys bailed out and in came Roger Paterson on bass and Colin Letham on drums. A gig followed with 'Penetration' and a few more scattered around the Dundee area. CBS sniffed around for a while then shook their heads, but Beggars Banquet offered to put the single on a compilation album - "Streets". We said yes
The new line-up went back into the studio and recorded two more tracks; "Queen of the Bitches" and "Steal Yourself" a couple of months later. But sadly, the band broke up before anything could be done about issuing a second single.
Currently, (September, 2014) I am trying to work with Detour records to locate these 'lost' tapes and issue these numbers as a l-o-o-o-ng delayed follow up to 'Jerkin''.
