Pearl Jam

Profile:
Alternative Rock (Modern Rock) band from Seattle, Washington (USA). Inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

Formed from the ashes of Jeff and Stone's previous band Mother Love Bone and the Temple Of The Dog tribute project (featuring Eddie Vedder on a number of tracks), Pearl Jam were catapulted straight to international superstardom with the release of the album "Ten" and the single 'Alive'. One of the Seattle grunge scene a-list bands, their star faded considerably when that scene fell out of fashion.

This appears to have suited the band fine as they've continued to record increasingly experimental music with their line-up almost intact (they have had a number of drummers over the years - Dave Krusen, David Abbruzzese, Jack Irons and, now, the drummer who played on their original demos and with Temple of the Dog - Matt Cameron, who also plays drums for Soundgarden. In 1995, they played as the backing band on Neil Young's "Mirror Ball" album and the subsequent tour.

Among the band members' many side projects over the years are Brad (Stone Gossard); Mad Season & The Rockfords (Mike McCready); Three Fish & RNDM (3) (Jeff Ament); The Wellwater Conspiracy (Matt Cameron).

Creating master releases by tour would be a good solution, not ideal but more convenient. The key release would be the first available date of the tour, and a 'mandatory' description would be provided to explain which releases are listed under this master release (context!). It'is not perfect but at least we don't have to wait for Discogs to find a solution to an issue that has been around for ages.
It has been done for Pixies.

So annoying to have to go through all these live albums to see what the studio album discography of the band is. This is pretty ridiculous.

I agree - time needs to be spent separating studio LPs from "live" LPs.
Recommendation: Donate some money to Discogs to help them out.
And yes, I have.

Pretty tiring. Separate the studio albums. This is so ridiculous.

It's way past time for discogs to do something about the live album issue. Way past necessary. There absolutely needs to be a way to separate the studio albums from the live ones. For that matter, promos and other odd one-offs that get included under Albums as well. It just shouldn't be this difficult and time consuming to look through their studio albums without having to search for each one individually. It's a cumbersome site design flaw and it needs to be fixed. (And for anyone who reads this and tries to do the "but it's just Pearl Jam's page", no, it's not - it's many, MANY artists and bands all over discogs.)

Many people have suggested this already. A separate "Live" section would be incredibly helpful.

Petition for discogs to make a live album tag. I think this is necessary, I mean, I looked at Metallica's page and this just doesn't make sense

Oh hell make a studio album space and keep all the live bs away from there! This is useless.
