Hard to believe that there has been a cool band in Hannover. But I really like this stuff and I think about to suggest them for the gold-cross-medal of the velvet underground memorial church. It still reminds me of beeing a teenager and sitting and taking drugs in empty factories in the early 80ties. I had a tape then with the Clocks on one Side and Suicide on the other ! Oh mei

39ers were probably the most modern r'n'r band ever apart from the velvet underground. between suicide and swell maps, fathers of the aesthetic made critics scream at the miracle after have seen the first hyper-short exhibitions of jesus and mary chain, back in 1984.
hearing their first two albums i feel the same surprise i had first time i put on the stereo "can 1969". really that was done in germany during '69? really 39 clocks recorded it in the first days of the '80?
if you are involved in alternative/underground/interesting music, don't loose these hannover guys
