Large Brass Band / Blaskapelle from Linz / Austria.

First formed in 1934, reformed after the war in 1948 as 'Original Linzer Buam' which were led by Karl Reischl. Soon thereafter Robert Thaller and Edi Matzer who were not satisfied with the repertoire founded a spin-off simply named 'Linzer Buam' again. The latter ensemble was more successful and did international tours in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1975 Edi Matzer founded another spin-off, Adi Pötscher Und Seine Linzer Buam, directed by Adi Pötscher.
After Robert Thaller's death in 1982 up to 5 different ensembles were performing under a 'Linzer Buam' name derivate. The 'main'-ensemble continued to perform until the late 1990s.
Please use Linzer Buam when credited as 'Linzer Buam' or their ANV 'Original Linzer Buam' but Robert Thaller Und Seine Linzer Buam (mostly late 1960s/early 1970s releases) and Adi Pötscher Und Seine Linzer Buam when credited as such.
