The Al Turath Ensemble is a Syrian classical Arabic and sufi musical ensemble from the city of Aleppo. It was founded in 1954 by صبري مدلل (Sabri Mudallal). Leadership passed to محمد حمدية (Mohammed Hammadye) in 1985 who added instrumentalists to what had previously been only a vocal ensemble. The term Al turath means "heritage." Their repertoire centres on Andalusian moaxajas of Aleppo.
