Corpus Vile was born in the basement in Winnipeg back in '83. Playing their first show at Wellingtons w/ Brian on vocals, Sean - Drums, Doug - Guitar, Todd - Bass. This line-up lasted a few years and released a fostex four track recorded demo. Shortly after the demo was recorded Brian left the band and was replaced by Bruno (ex Snicker Snee) on vocals. That summer after a great show with the Cromags and GBH, Corpus Vile embarked on their Mini (very mini) American Tour. Met with the usual border hassles (four hours of lying to the border guards) they crossed the border in July of '86, playing in Iowa and Nebraska. After that tour Bruno and Doug went their own ways. In stepped Derek on vocals and a lot of guitar tryouts followed. The newly revamped version of Corpus Vile played their first show with COC. Shortly after this show Corpus Vile wanted to travel more but due to school Sean had to call it quits. Again finding themselves hunting for a new member. Marty answered the call for the drummer wanted ad...and they where off to the basement once again to prepare for the release of the LP 'What Does It Take' for Fringe Product. This Line-up stuck for that summer of recording and only played one show before the release of the record. Todd moved from bass to guitar and Scott filled in on bass for the eastern Canadian summer tour. Once that tour was over Corpus Vile finally came to an end.
