Emmett Williams (born April 4, 1925, Greenville, South Carolina, USA – died February 14, 2007, Berlin, Germany) was an American concrete poet and painter. He was married to the British visual artist Ann Noël
. He relocated to Germany in the 1950's, he worked closely with Claus Bremer
and Daniel Spoerri
. In 1962 he became a Fluxus artist and remained as one of their number until he died. Throughout his life, he published a small number of books, however is generally better known for his "Anthology of Concrete Poetry."
