Valborg

Progressive Doom/Death band from Bonn, Germany. The band started in 2002, released "Songs of a Year" in 2005 and didn't release their second album till 2009, quickly followed by 2 more releases in the following years. The relative quiet in the early years can be explicained by the involvement of the band members in various other projects during the same period, such as ISLAND, OWL, SLON, WOBURN HOUSE, KOSMOS WALD, CENTAURUS-A, KLABAUTAMANN and TORTUR.

Categorisation of Valborg music is difficult, but situates itself mainly in Doom and Death metal related darkness, often very similar to CELTIC FROST, but with a more dissonant approach and intrusions from classic Heavy Metal, and dark Progressive Metal.
