Jazz drummer.

Born on March 3, 1913 in Cutoff, La
Died in September 1984 in New Orleans

Throughout the 1930s, Jones played with Kid Howard’s ten-piece band. In the years that followed, Jones would also work with George Lewis (2), Sidney Desvigne, Papa Celestin, and many others. After Alfred Williams’s death, Jones became a regular member of the Eureka Brass Band.
