Profile:
Thrash Metal band formed in 1981 by Kerry King (guitar), Jeff Hanneman (guitar), Dave Lombardo (drums) and Tom Araya (vocals and bass) at Huntington Park, California U.S.A. The group's name is an acronym for "Satan Laughs As you Eternally Rot" as shown in the first press vinyl's runout of their debut album (also written in the back sleeve of Divine Intervention) and part of this reffered in the lyrics of "live undead" song: "Laughing as you eternally rot, searching for human flesh and life's blood, Live Undead, Dead" from the album South Of Heaven.

In January 2018 the band announced the end of Slayer after a final tour which ended in November 2019.

It would be nice to see the band put out their final show on some physical format. I can't think of any fan not wanting to own it.

SLAYER GOLDEN ERA is ontly until SEASONS in the ABYSS - Misteryously the decay of music in all variations and styles comes in the mid 1990s ,

A great thrash metal band from their Debut album Show no mercy all the way to the end of Seasons of the abyss,after seasons of the Abyss this is where Fans kind of split & was really hit or miss

Although I love just about everything Slayer did up to and including Seasons In The Abyss, in my opinion the moment they decided to abandon supernatural evil in favour of more urban manifestations they lost the most crucial part of their identity. Sure they have released some good and even great songs since then, but nothing comes close to their output up to 1990. It would seem that in a weird biblical correlation, Slayer lost their might when King lost his hair, Sampson-style.

In my opinion the best thrash band reach its end! Jeff was very critical to the outcome of the band and Slayer should not try to replace someone unreplacable. They ought to pull back while still on top! I'll be very sorry if i see a second Sepultura parody...
