Born April 24, 1950 in Poto-Poto, Republic of Congo, Théo Blaise Kounkou, alias TBK, began his musical career in vocal groups and then in the choirs of the Catholic Church. Benin, where he had settled for studies in the mid-1970s, gave him the opportunity to join the "Poly ryhmo" group of Cotonou. At the end of the 1970s, he created the Africa All Stars in Ivory Coast with Sam Mangwana. He arranged with Maika Munan the album "Droit Chemin" by Fally Ipupa. These hit songs have toured the globe and are considered jewels in the musical setting of Africa.
